Join us Saturday, February 21st at 11:30am for Shade Gardening 101 with guest instructor Kim Sogaard, where you’ll learn how to turn low-light areas of your yard into lush, layered, and beautiful garden spaces. Kim will share her favorite shade-loving plants, talk through different varieties that thrive without full sun, and help you discover just how much potential those darker corners really have.
A self-described plant geek since the age of five, Kim holds a BS in Horticulture from the University of Minnesota and owned her own landscaping business for many years. She’s especially passionate about shade plants and has spent decades collecting, growing, and working with a wide range of unique and reliable varieties.
Whether you’re dealing with mature trees, north-facing beds, or just want to add more depth and texture to your landscape, this class will leave you inspired and full of ideas for what shade gardens can be!
