Cut Flower Gardening 101

Join us on Saturday, February 7th at 10:00am for a fun and beginner-friendly Cut Flower Garden 101 class led by Andrea, our perennial grower at Drummers, who also has years of experience as a florist and cut flower gardener. If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping outside and cutting fresh flowers from your own garden, this class is a perfect place to start planning for the growing season ahead.

Andrea will walk you through how to plan and grow a seasonal cutting garden using annuals, shrubs, perennials, and bulbs, share her favorite cut flower varieties, and cover the basics of planting and care. She’ll also talk through harvesting and conditioning tips, so your blooms last longer once they’re in the vase. Each participant will receive a packet of flower seeds to use when the growing season arrives.

The class will run approximately 45–60 minutes and is designed for gardeners of all experience levels who are excited to grow, cut, and enjoy their own flowers.
